Spreading The Voice: Shades of Africa

The Shades of Africa Music Festival kicked off at the University of Minnesota-Duluth Tuesday night in the Weber Music Hall.

Singing was Chantal Lavigne, alongside pianist Dr. Jeanne Doty, who recently retired as Associate Professor of Music at UMD.

The Shades of Africa Music Festival celebrates the diversity of composers and performers of African Decent featuring world-class artists in choral, traditional, orchestral, classical and popular genres.
