Two young musicians, Vee Da I and Fuse ODG came out yesterday on two different social media networks to announce their individual and yet similar conquests.

South African-UK rapper turned music video director, Vee Da I, announced yesterday that a video he produced had been recently played on the African version of MTV Base. He said this via the social media networking site twitter, “Just received great news. One of my recent music videos I directed got played on @MTVbaseAfrica this morning. #veeartmedia #KalaVee“. DiaspoRAW would like to congratulate the artist, who works very hard and without a major release in his name yet, he is making a name for himself via street hit songs, productions and videos. There is certainly more to come from this artist. Watch this space.

Fuse ODG on the other hand, is now a household name when it comes to Afrobeatz or should we say Afropop. Following the major remixes of Fuse’s earthshaking Antenna song, with the likes of former Fugees frontman Wyclef Jean and recently with Ghanaian superstar Sarkodie, the song has also gained an MTV premiere. According to Fuse, there is quite some significant developments to acknowledg.
