Singer Gamu Nhengu seems to be on roll. As she prepares for her debut album launch on May 5 2013, a new deal seems to have come her way. Announcing on her official Facebook page, an elated Gamu said, “Dreary weather but there’s good news to make me cheery!
Just been signed to @TommyBoyEnt in the USA! So excited! #shaketheroom

This is being accompanied by what seems to be a favourable and ongoing media frenzy that is surrounding Gamu’s upcoming album “A Love Like This”. We reported last week that Gamu made stops at a number of major radio stations in the UK, but that did not stop the major stops rolling into the past weekend.

The Tommy Boy label was created in 1981 by Tom Silverman’s. Tommy Boy label has was once bought, owned and is affiliated to giant company Warner Bros. Records.

We do not know the full details of Gamu’ deal with Tommy Boy Records but we believe it involves a full American release of the artist’s album and we sure hope there will be a fruitful result .

Fans are excited and have been following a lot of the artist’s moves. One fan managed to dig up that Tommy Boy will be releasing Gamu’s album on their site, on the release day, along with iTunes and Amazon, and posted the information on a Gamu web fan page.
