Nigerian Artists Donate N-Millions To Ill Colleague

Nigerianfilms.com reports that megastar duo P-Square have donated 5 Million Naira ($US31000) alongside their producer brother and manager, Jude Okoye to assist towards music producer-cum-singer, OJB Jezreel for his kidney transplant. The website also reports that the sum of 16 million naira is required for the treatment, which is they say is due in 8 to 10 weeks.

Other websites went on to report that several other major artists have followed suit and donated big figures. The following artists are said to have donated, Wizkid – N3m, 2Face – N1.5m, Don Jazzy- N1m, Ice Prince- N500k to the #SaveOJB campaign.

It is not unusual for African artist to support each other in such a manner. Living in economies where there are no stable insurance schemes for artists and the general public, artists and individuals alike often rely on each other for support when incidents such as OJB’s occur.
