Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom stars wow fans at Toronto International Film Festival

Movie premiere plays to eight-minute ovation
Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom had its first international screening at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday, 7 September 2013.

The stars of the film, Idris Elba, Naomie Harris, Riaad Moosa, Terry Pheto, Deon Lotz and Lindiwe Matshikiza, surprised throngs of fans when they stopped to pose for pictures with them before taking to the red carpet. The screening ended on a high note with an unprecedented eight-minute standing ovation from a visibly moved audience.
