A breakthrough for Afrobeats is unfolding as British-Ghanaian artist Fuse ODG’s “TINA” album debuts at number 25 in UK Charts. According to British weekly music journalism publication NME (New Musical Express), the Afrobeats pioneer managed to grab the 25th pot in the official UK top 40 chart. At the top is sensational British singer Ed Sheeran with his abum “X” but Fuse’s recently released “TINA” managed to sit comfortably in the middle of the table after only being released just over 7 days ago. This goes to show that Afrobeats is not only here to stay but also here to contend. Congratulations to Fuse ODG, Ghana and Africa as a whole. The chart also features the likes of US artists Taylor Swift, John Legend and Azealia Banks among many others.
