Outspoken hip-hop star Azealia Banks has called on black Americans to penalise the country’s powerful, super-rich DeWolf family for the slave crimes of their ancestors.
The 23 year old posted an article about the family’s slave links on social media on Friday (26Dec14) and called on African-Americans to track down the descendants and make them pay reparations.

The DeWolf family’s ancestors reportedly traded slaves for 50 years until 1820.
The Chasing Time hitmaker took to Twitter.com and raged, “I wonder where the descendants of the DeWolf family are today. they should all have their houses burned and their finances seized. This generation of young black kids needs to make a Concerted effort to seek out living descendants of major slave trading families. They Owe us Money.”
She added, “Jews and Native Americans all got reparations because they organized… Aetna (health insurance company), New York Life Insurance Company, and (investment group) JP Morgan and Chase (bank) all have deep connections to the Slave trade, and are… still holding on to that capital. They used the money they made from our flesh and blood to fund the Industrial revolution.”

She went on to urge fans not to “get distracted with reality tv and rap music and fashion and all that other dumb s**t”, adding, “We are the children of the people who perished in the name of modern capitalism and we deserve a piece of that f**king pie. I would give up my music career to fight for reparations. To even the score once and for all.”
DeWolf family patriarch James DeWolf is featured prominently in a 2008 documentary, Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North, which describes the clan’s major role in the United States slave trade.
