X Factor’s Fleur East Gets Her Prize at Last, Signs to Simon Cowell’s record label Syco

The X-Factor UK 2014 competition’s first runner up Fleur East has finally clinched the prize she naturally deserves, a recording contact with the main X-Factor judge Simon Cowell’s record label SYCO. The news was broken with the following tweet by the record label’s official twitter account, SYCO Entertainment;

Fleur East, who is of Ghanaian parentage (on the maternal side) and English on the paternal side, thrilled the judges through out the X-Factor UK show in 2014 with her singing, rapping and dancing skills but missed out on the final prize to Ben Haenow. It was clear from her performance on the show that it will not be long before she has a huge record label make her sign on the dotted line for a good deal, and it to get Simon Cowell to sign her is not much of a surprise either.

It is worth to note that The X-Factor and Got Talent are both key franchises of SYCO TV, a subsidiary of SYCO Entertainment. SYCO Music is the record label equivalent subsidiary.

In SYCO Music, Fleur is going to have a chance to rub shoulders with the likes of Ben Haenow himself, singers Olly Murs and Sam Bailey, groups One Direction, Little Mix who are all former contestants of the X-Factor and others such as Labrinth.

Other sources are also reporting that 2015 will not end without us seeing an album from 27 year old Fleur. What an event to look forward to.
