VIDEO ALERT: Gallaxy – Holla At Me| (Promoting African Prints)

An Afrobeats music video is usually not complete without at least a hint of African print showing in it, modernised/urbanised or otherwise. The video for the song “Holla At Me” by Ghanaian Hiplife and Afrobeats music group, Gallaxy is not just one such example. It is actually an embodiment of the art of African prints and their use, with the prints featured heavily in the music video of athe already exciting and banging party song.

According to, Gallaxy said that “the concept and use of African prints in the video is to promote the patronage of locally made products.” and they ‘urged (Ghanaian) artistes to embrace the use of locally produced prints and costumes to sustain the local textile industry which is currently suffering from the huge importation of cheap and inferior prints.

African prints are not the only thing to look out for in the the video, which was directed by Ebenezer Xbills of Xpress Philms. There are some nice party dance moves in there as well, and some nice looking girls for the gents. Ladies, you might nbe interested in checking out the well endowed Gallazy boys.
