DRC Artists Pay Tribute to Sexually Abused Women


The Democratic Republic of Congo paid tribute to women who have suffered physical and sexual abuse by launching the country’s first women art exhibition. Rape and murder have been the weapons used by the various rebel groups that have roamed the eastern part of the country seeking to control the abundantly available mineral wealth in the region. Artists such Didier Mukandila Ngoy have also come out to dedicate some of their earnings to support women in the country. Check the video below for a full report;
