The list of nominees for the BET’s ‘Best International Act: Africa’ is out. The artists vying for the prestigious American gong are;

Sauti Sol (Kenya)
Stonebwoy(Ghana)
The Soil (South Africa)
Wizkid (Nigeria)
Yemi Alade (Nigeria)

African artists nominated in different other categories are Ghanaian-British singer/rapper Fuse ODG and Nigerian-British singer, songwriter, record producer and remixer MNEK, who are both nominated for ‘Best International Act: UK’, alongside Fka Twigs, Lethal Bizzle, Little Simz, and Stormzy. Zimbabwean-American Tinashe is nominated in ‘Best New Artist’ category alongside Bobby Shmurda, Dej Loaf, Fetty Wap, Rae Sremmurd and Sam Smith

US and other International heavyweight artists such as Beyonce, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, Azealia Banks, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Tyga and several others are nominated in various other categories.
