Ret-RAW Saturdays: Manu Dibango – Woa

Smooth and cool, Cameroonian musician Emmanuel “Manu” N’Djoké Dibango is definitely one of Africa’s notable icons. He made his name from being a standout saxophonist and vibraphone player. His musical style is a fusion of jazz, funk and traditional Cameroonian music. One of the 81 year old’s significant hits is the song “Woa”. With a jazzy but Afrobeats vibe to it, the song is more than a signature of the rich sound of the early days of crossover Afro-pop. Produced by Skwall and shot in Paris, France, here is the video for the song “Woa”.
