Reggie ‘N’ Bollie Make It To The UK X-Factor Semi-Finals, Prove They Are Here To Stay With Performances

Now, these guys have definitely proved their worth. Week-in week-0ut, with performances that have infused energy into the UK singing talent show, X-Factor, Reggie ‘N’ Bollie have managed to not only steal but own the hearts of the show’s fans. Like last weekend, this weekend (28-11-15) they performed a mash-up which included an African song…and even an African dance too. The artists merged Silento’s “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” and Fuse ODG’s “Azonto” to create a new ‘jiggy’ track.

It was not a surprise when the crowd was heard going into a frenzy after the act appeared on stage on Saturday night. The stage immediately became like a nightclub’s dancefloor, with Reggie ‘N’ Bollie, Reggies’ 2 kids and other dancers literally ‘mashing-up’ the dancefloor while Reggie ‘N’ Bollie sung the “Whip/Nae Nae” song. Right in the middle of it, they switched gear and stepped it up a notch with their sound by switching to the more fast-paced “Azonto” song by Fuse. The dancers reacted accordingly and everyone, from the policeman, the nurse, the postman and the crossing guard started doing the Azonto dance. Reggie ‘N’ Bollie even replaced Fuse’s rap bit with their own verses and at this point their mentor Cheryl, jumped on stage in a choreographed move, to join them with the final Azonto dance scene. She wasn’t as fluid as everyone on stage but she did bring her game to town.

Fast-forward 24 hours later, in the results show, Reggie ‘N’ Bollies managed to cleanly march to the semi-finals by not being placed in the bottom two and therefore not being asked to participate in a sing-off for their place. They were announced as one of the acts safe to go to the semi-finals. We do wish them the very best. Well, they have done amazingly well so far and being in the last four of all of the X-Factor’s 2015 contestants is just priceless.

Fourth Impact, who hail from the Philippines were the latest act to leave the show, after battling it out with singer Lauren Murray. The results of the battle did not however, determine who had to leave the competition. The judges decided to take the decision and let the viewers’ vote and that is how Lauren managed to remain on the show. Alongside herself, Reggie ‘N’ Bollie are going to be facing Ché Chesterman and Louisa Johnson in the semis.

All the best Reggie ‘N’ Bollie!
